Biomaterials – BoneAlive
BonAlive® granules come with a range of benefits matched by no other bone graft substitute. They are available in three granule sizes to meet the need of the surgical procedure. The small granules are primarily used in hand and cranio-maxillofacial surgery (including the jaw). The medium and large granules are primarily used in orthopaedic, trauma and chronic osteomyelitis surgery.
BonAlive® granules are osteostimulative* which means that the BonAlive®granules can stimulate the recruitment and differentiation of osteoblasts and activate osteoblasts to produce new bone in a bony cavity (see BonAlive® properties). In addition, the granules have a unique bacterial growth inhibiting effect. Due to their excellent clinical performance in indications involving chronic infections, BonAlive® granules have received the indication “bone cavity filling in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis”. During 20 years of clinical experience, BonAlive® granules have proven to be safe, reliable and effective in bone regeneration applications.
BTG (Bio compatibles)
For Oncological treatments focused on the liver: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or Metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). The treatments offered are:
- Radioembolization with TheraSpheres for Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) and metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). In this treatment, glass microspheres containing Yttrium 90 (Y90) are delivered to the liver, using selective catheterization during an endovascular procedure.
- Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) with drug eluting beads. In this treatment, biocompatible beads coated with doxorubicin for HCC or with Irinotecan for mCRC are delivered to the liver using selective catheterization during endovascular procedure.
- Blend Embolization. In this endovascular procedure blood flow to a selected area is blocked, effectively shrinking a tumor or blocking an aneurysm.
- Epilepsy treatment (Nemos)
- Pain treatment (Stimwave)
- No surgical intervention: t-VNS-therapy provides targeted stimulation of the vagus nerve, without the risks of a surgical intervention.
Transcutaneous Vagus Nerve Stimulation (t-VNS) uses the fact that the auricular branch of the vagus nerve (ABVN) supplies the skin of the concha in the human ear.
